This story requires a bit of a history lesson: Back in 2000, Pink opened for 'NSYNC on their massive No Strings Attached Tour. But what concertgoers might not have realized is that while Justin Timberlake was busy romancing Britney Spears, Joey Fatone had his eyes on the magenta-maned pop singer.
"Joey Fatone was in love with me," she reveals in the new issue ofGlamour magazine. "He took me to Friendly's on a date, and he bought me an ice cream. Such a sweetheart. He asked my dad's permission."
During the rather candid chat with the magazine, the feisty singer also reveals that she's taking back a word often used to describe women and their love affairs in a negative way.
"I'm a reformed slut," she declared. "It's my very unsophisticated way of taking the power back. I've always had an issue with [the idea that]: 'OK, we've both decided to do this. Why am I a slut and you're the player? You didn't get anything from me that I didn't get from you.' "
These days, however, she's settled down, married to Carey Hart (after ashort break in 2008 and reuniting in 2009) and raising their daughter, Willow Sage.
Pink admitted to the mag that marriage is hard work. "Long-term relationships are an everyday choice," she said. "It's harder to be in a marriage than it is to bounce from one relationship to the next. We're good because we communicate and we've grown up together, not because we don't fight."
Speaking of matters of the heart, Pink will reportedly release "True Love,"her duet with Lily Rose Cooper (formerly Lily Allen), as the next single from her 2012 release, The Truth About Love. The new track follows in the footsteps of her hit duet with Fun.'s Nate Ruess "Just Give Me a Reason."
